This Privacy Policy explains how the Olimpo Compress app ("app", "we") handles information related to your use of it. Olimpo Compress is built to compress videos directly on your Android device — we don't require you to create an account, log in, or provide an e-mail or password to use the app.

1. Your videos never leave your device

Video compression happens entirely locally, on your own device, using Android's media processing engine (Media3 Transformer). The app does not send, upload, or store your videos on any server of ours or of any third party. The compressed video is saved directly to your device's gallery.

2. Data stored only on your device

To work, the app stores locally, on your own device, information such as:

Language and theme (light/dark) preferences;
Compression history (name, size, and date of videos you've already compressed), used only to display your History screen;
Counter of free compressions used today, to apply the free plan's daily limit;
Your Premium plan status (if active and until when), calculated from your Google Play purchase.

None of this information is sent to us. If you uninstall the app, this data is deleted from your device.

3. Ads (Google AdMob)

The free version of the app shows ads (interstitial ads at natural transition points, and rewarded ads when you choose to watch one for extra compressions) provided by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob and its advertising partners may automatically collect information such as your device's advertising identifier, approximate IP address, ad interaction data, and technical device information. This collection is carried out by Google, in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy and the AdMob Privacy & Security policy.

Premium users don't see ads.

4. Purchases (Google Play Billing)

The Premium plan is sold through Google Play Billing. All payment processing — including credit card or other payment method data — is handled entirely by Google Play. We don't have access to that data and don't store it. We only receive confirmation that the purchase was completed, in order to unlock the Premium plan's benefits in the app.

5. Permissions used by the app

Select videos: used only so you can choose which videos to compress; the app only accesses the files you select.
Notifications: used to show compression progress while it runs in the background.
Internet: used to load ads and verify Premium plan purchases with Google Play.

6. Data sharing

We don't sell or share your personal data with third parties for our own purposes. The only data exchanges that happen are the ones described above, directly between your device and Google's services (AdMob and Google Play Billing) needed to show ads and process purchases.

7. Your rights

Because the app doesn't collect personally identifiable data on servers of our own — everything stays on your device or is handled directly by Google — we don't keep a user database to query. Even so, if you have any questions about how your data is handled, or wish to exercise rights under applicable data protection law (including Brazil's LGPD, Lei nº 13.709/2018, for users in Brazil), please contact us at the e-mail below.

8. Children

Olimpo Compress is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the app or in legal requirements. The date at the top of this page indicates the most recent version.
